Past

Dr. Grant has a long history of civic and community engagement. She has served on numerous boards and committees, stepping down from some roles to focus on her elected position as President of the NAACP Temple Branch. Her past leadership roles include serving as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee for the Family Promise Board, Promise House Chair, and Construction Clerk for the Promise House building at 1411 E Avenue N—a site formerly used as a beloved community baseball field, where she fondly recalls the joy of families and neighborhood games.

Current

Dr. Grant continues to serve on multiple boards and committees that support the residents of Bell County and the City of Temple. Her current roles include serving on City liaison boards such as the Temple Board of Adjustments, Planning and Zoning Commission, Hill Country Transit District, and Animal Services Advisory Board. She also actively contributes to community-focused organizations, including the BLOOM Foundation, Temple Texas, East Heights Development, and KTCP 98.7 FM Radio. Dr. Grant holds Life Memberships with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and the NAACP, and participates in the City of Temple Neighborhood District Initiative, focusing on the Crestview and Ferguson districts. Through her decades of service, Dr. Grant has consistently demonstrated a commitment to civic engagement, community improvement, and equitable representation for all residents.

Dr, Grant is the President of the NAACP Temple Branch and the Founder and Executive Director of Zoe's Wings Foundation, Inc. & New Life Community Development Center, Inc. both 501(c)(3) that makes repairs for homeowners who are economically challenged, low-to-moderate income, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and aging or senior residents.
